CIS 271: Digital Media – provides students with the opportunity to develop materials for implementation into web sites, mobile applications, multimedia presentations, and DVDs. This course focuses primarily upon the development of digital images and basic design principles, as well as digital audio and video materials. Students in this course need to devote significant time to working both in the lab and online during the term.
Please note that the focus of this course is not merely the development of technical skills. Rather, this course is designed to function as an introduction to the theories of visual communication and media criticism.
There are no prerequisites for CIS 271. This course is typically offered every term.
